Laura Seeds is a Brisbane based photographic artist and creative, currently studying a Masters in Creative Advertising (QUT). She holds a Bachelors in Photography, where she dual majored in creative advertising and art practice. From her work as a photographer she has exhibited work locally, nationally and internationally both as part of collectives and as an individual practitioner. Laura was awarded the QCP Graduate Award, for innovation and experimentation in the photographic art practice, and was a finalist in the 2015 Olive Cotton Portrait Prize.

Her personal art-practice work is predominately portrait based with recurring themes of exploration into representations of the human psyche and mental illness, as well as heavy use of experimentation.


After participating as an artist for the DIY festival 2015, Laura took on the roles of Marketing and PR coordinator for DIY 2016.
